The Setting
Pond
At the heart of the ranch is a large pond fed by the Weber River with wide green lawns that slope gently to the water’s edge while mature trees frame the shoreline.
The pond has extraordinarily large fish and with a catch and release philosophy they have remained healthy and vibrant. The fish are mainly rainbow and tiger trout, along with a mix of brook and brown trout. The pond is not only a scenic and recreational centerpiece but also a place for gathering and reflection—equally suited for summer afternoons, evening walks, and quiet moments spent with the mountain backdrop in view.
Weber River
The Weber River flows directly through the ranch bringing a sense of movement, sound and life to the land. With ownership on both banks (the ranch includes around 8 acres of land on the north side of the river), the property offers private access to shaded corridors, gravel bars and trout‑rich waters.
The Star M Ranch, Oakley Utah
Cottonwoods and willows line the river’s bends, creating a natural sanctuary that feels far removed from the outside world. The river is both an ecological treasure and a defining element of the ranch’s character. Between the pond and the river there is unmatched privacy for fishing, picnics, and riverside walks.
